The Tangier regional delegation of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services in Morocco (CCISPM) has just been inaugurated and officially begins its activities under the leadership of Omar El Kadaoui, appointed Regional Delegate in Tangier.
Full house for the opening ceremony of the regional delegation of the CCISPM (Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of Portugal in Morocco), organized on March 30 in the city of Tangier. In addition to the president of the CCISPM and its members, the ceremony was attended by Bernardo Futcher Pereira, Ambassador of Portugal in Morocco and Marta Silva Lopes, Consul General of Portugal in Rabat, as well as Abdellatif Bernoussi, Honorary Consul of Portugal in Tangier. It is not all. The ceremony welcomed several personalities representing the local authorities, in particular Adil dfouf, Vice President of the Tangier City Council and Tahar Hanine, Secretary General of General Affairs of the Region.
In addition, Jalal Ben Hayoun, General Director of the Regional Investment Center, Rabie Arbai, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Services of Tangier-Tetouan-Alhucemas and Zouhir Benjelloun, Regional Director of the ‘ASMEX, were in hand in addition to several entrepreneurs based in the Tangier region, thus representing the local economic fabric.
During this act, Bernardo Futcher Pereira, Ambassador of Portugal in Morocco, intervened, highlighting, in particular, the solidity of the political relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and Portugal, as well as the development of tourism in both directions, which was already well advanced before the pandemic: “The two countries can regain strength so that the two peoples are aware of the opportunities that arise there and thus become closer,” declared Bernardo Futcher Pereira. He continued: “All the conditions are in place for our relationship to flourish even more in the coming years. The opening of the CCISPM regional office in Tangier is extremely important to help achieve this goal. »
For his part, José Maria Teixeira, president of the CCISPM declared: “We are delighted to receive various personalities representing both Morocco and Portugal at this inauguration ceremony of our delegation in Tangier”, “We have always thought that Tangier is the city ideal for establishing our first regional delegation there. A point of view that was confirmed to us during this ceremony, which received guests from all social strata and all were unanimous on the relevance of this establishment”, continued Mr. José Maria Teixeira.
Indeed, the choice of Tangier was not accidental. The CCISPM is aware that over the years Tangier has become a hub for the automotive and aeronautical industry with its port terminal and logistics free zone dedicated to automobiles, the Tanger Automotive City, which attracts more and more to more industrial With its regional delegation in Tangier, the CCISPM wants to be even closer to its members and to satisfy all its stakeholders.
And it was during the ceremony that Omar El Kadaoui, the regional delegate of Tangier for the CCISPM, was officially presented. “I am very happy that this project that I have defended for a long time together with Mr. Texeira finally sees the light”, before continuing “We have several projects for this delegation from Tangier, which we intend to carry out successfully for the benefit of companies. members and the influence of trade relations between Morocco and Portugal”, concludes Omar El Kadaoui, Regional Delegate of the CCISPM in Tangier.
After this first delegation in northern Morocco and with the aim of reinforcing its approach to continuous improvement at the service of Portuguese and Moroccan companies, the CCISPM plans to open two other regional representations by 2023.
